Our teams at Cladding Coatings have been using systems from Rust-Oleum for over a decade. We are no stranger to the application of their products on walls and roofs in a variety of environments and weather conditions. Our experience and knowledge of using these paint systems really shows in the quality of work we deliver on site.

Recently we renewed our training with them to ensure we were up to date with the latest product features and innovations from Rust-Oleum. We are really excited to see what will be available in the near future.

Rust-Oleum Noxyde is a water-based, single-component, elastomeric coating that is perfect for spray application. Noxyde’s unrivalled rust-proofing, corrosion and waterproofing properties on metal, cladding and roofing has been proven in some of the most aggressive environments in the world.

This tried and tested system is our go-to choice, due to the excellent corrosion protection, waterproofing and 200% elasticity properties; which means the paint will not crack or peel when the metal it is applied to shrinks or expands. These features are crucial for us as a business to ensure we carry out work which will stand the test of time and allows us to offer our customers a fantastic, ten-year guarantee on the services we carry out.

Also, Rust-Oleum Noxyde can be applied in a variety of colours and shades. This means there are no limits to the colours we can use, which enables Cladding Coatings to offer our unique colour-matching service to ensure our customers always achieve the exact finished look to match their branding requirements after the project has been completed.
Rust-Oleum used the technology of Noxyde to develop two further products, Peganox and Pegarust. Peganox utilises the same properties as Noxyde but is specifically designed for applications by either a roller or brush. Pegarust is the solvent-based version of Noxyde which is designed for applications on damp, cold surfaces down to minus 5 degrees.

Rust-Oleum Metal Cladding Topcoat is designed for use on metal cladding, the topcoat is perfect for protecting your building’s facade from corrosion, rust, and weathering: improving exterior life expectancy. It’s a water-based product, low in VOC, with high-filling and hiding power. As it is easy to clean and maintain, and applied easily with a brush, roller or spray, it is ideal for use in Cladding Coatings’ smooth, efficient and low-disruption refurbishment projects.

There are also multiple aesthetic benefits to the Rust-Oleum Metal Cladding Topcoat system. The paint applies a waterborne satin gloss finish to your cladding, which is tintable in almost any colour, therefore able to match your colour requirements and company branding.

The key benefit of 7500 Alkythane is its exceptional anti-corrosion properties. It has an extremely high-performing corrosion resistant topcoat and is incredibly effective when applied in highly-corrosive areas, such as those of high salinity (like coastal metal-cladded properties).

7500 Alkythane is also easy to apply, with excellent flow, aspect and opacity. The surface must first be fully cleaned and then primed, ready for application, which can be done in temperatures as low as 5℃. The system’s great versatility means it will also dry completely in these low temperatures; therefore, its weather-resistant properties make it excellent for use in unpredictable climates.

After Refurbishment 7500 Alkythane’s optimal protection properties allow it to provide the same protection as other alkyd-systems, but in fewer layers. As such, it’s ideal for a thorough, yet quick, application (it’s a one day maintenance system). Its polyurethane addition makes it extra durable and delivers a high-build smooth finish.

Available in more than 25 pre-produced colour variations, gloss, satin or metallic finishes, and with the option of bespoke custom colour creation available, 7500 Alkythane gives our customers the flexibility of choice of colour and finish with the reliability of a protective, trusted product.
