Site Revisit – 10 Years on at Chief Productions, Manchester

Cladding Coatings Managing Director, Mike Hallwood visited a site that we completed 10 years’ ago. The property looked in really good condition and is testament to our quality service and systems our teams use on site.

Chief Productions based at Media City, Salford, Manchester requested that Mike came back to site as they had acquired a neighbouring unit that they were expanding into. The unit was in a similar condition to how their original building was a decade ago. Not only did it need a survey to establish its condition, but they needed to discuss how to update the colour scheme to match their existing premises.

Ten years ago, Cladding Coatings were called in to Chief Productions due to the flaking paint and faded metal cladding panels. For a successful production company in Media City, image was very important, and the building needed to match their brand.

A detailed survey was carried out and colour scheme chosen, then work was booked in, similar to our recent visit to their new unit.

Our teams arrived on site and set to work refurbishing their roller shutter doors, gutters, metal wall cladding, brickwork and windows and doors. 700m2 of this property were refurbished on site to a high quality.

The fully repainted front and gable elevations looked completely uplifted and renewed once work was completed.

Whilst onsite we were able to set up a camera in the adjacent area where we recorded a time lapse of the coating process. This can be found here on our You Tube channel.
Since the work was carried out, a tall block has been erected to the side of the property on the land we used for filming. This is the biggest change about this site, not the coating!

On inspection the building still looks as good today as it did 10 years ago, and we are so pleased to be able to re-visit this site and see how our work has lasted and stood up to the elements in the last decade.

All our roof and wall cladding coating comes with a 10 year guarantee as a minimum, many are guaranteed longer. The length of the guarantee depends on the system chosen and the project location. We have recently completed some roof refurbishments that are guaranteed for 35 years.

Being established for 15 years now, we hope to be able to revisit more of our older projects and bring you some comparisons to evidence how good our workmanship is and how durable our coatings are.
