Here at Cladding Coatings we are delighted that Jacob Eastwood, our Site Supervisor, has obtained his First aid at work and IOSH certification.
Over the last few months Jacob has been studying towards the qualification which will prove a great benefit to Cladding Coatings as well as further developing Jacob’s personal skills and knowledge. The course is designed to show delegates how investing in safety and health can reap valuable business benefits, including better productivity, increased profits, an enhanced reputation and a stronger brand.
The course includes a range of health and safety issues, and includes showing employees how everyone can make a difference to their own wellbeing and that of others through everyday behaviors. The course also includes topics on Introducing working safely, Defining hazard and risk, Identifying common hazards, Improving safety performance and Protecting our environment.
As an employer, we are aware that The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1981 requires all employers to have adequate arrangements for first aid and lay down procedures for dealing with emergencies. At least one person must be appointed and trained to take charge of first aid arrangements. Jacob’s certification is great for Jacob but also for us as a business in meeting these regulations.
