It’s widely appreciated that roof safety is highly important when working on site. Carrying out work at height carries plenty of dangers and a fall would result in catastrophic injury and possible death.
Changes in weather, fragile roof elements, slips and trips, wind, steep inclines and slippery surfaces can all add to the dangers, so providing a safe system of work is essential, ensuring both compliance with regulations and the safety of employees and contractors.
This is why we take safety onsite extremely seriously and the welfare of our staff and our customers is number one priority.
RoofSafe, Fall Arrest System
One of the services we offer is to install a RoofSafe, fall arrest system. It is designed to prevent falls while giving hand-free access, providing our team with increased capabilities when attending to your roof whilst not compromising on health and safety.
The system we use is the 3M™ DBI-SALA® RoofSafe Anchor and Cable System. This systems spans up to 15m between anchors and provides continuous hands-free access to all roof areas. The horizontal lifeline system means they can access all parts of your roof securely.
Not only does this keep our team safe working at height, it also reduces the time they must spend on a roof to deliver an exceptional finish when refurbishing a roof.
The system hasn’t been around long but our team were trained and received accreditation for using the system when it was first available in 2019 so are now familiar and very experienced in using the safety system.
The 3M™ DBI-SALA® RoofSafe Anchor and Cable System is suitable for any type or size of building. The continuous hands-free, uninterrupted access and ease of movement reduces the time spent on your roof too: increasing safety and decreasing your costs.
Long Term Protection
The system once installed, remans in place permanently. This means that any contractor working on the roof at anytime in the future can use the system if they have the correct training. This system is widely used therefore most competent roof contractors will likely be able to use the system correctly.
By having this system already in situ, it will save you money time and time again as you will not need additional safety railings and netting that you would otherwise need to invest in during maintenance, repair work or other roof investigations.
Cost Efficient
The Roofsafe system reduces the need for railings and safety netting, so once installed this cost will be removed from future roof work. Having the system installed makes working on the roof quicker and easier for contractors meaning the time spent on the roof will be reduced and will therefore mean lower labour costs. The toggle fixing method for flat roofing systems speeds up installation time and reduces thermal bridging, reducing heat loss from a building which is also a saving in energy costs.

Whilst on site our surveyor can check the condition of your roof and will be able to offer a no obligation quotation and recommendations for any other refurbishment work if required.
