This exciting project re-visit looks at a property in Salford, Manchester that we completed in 2014. We just had to go back and check up on how the property looked today. And we were not disappointed.

Ten years ago, Cladding Coatings undertook a significant refurbishment project for Jofson Limited in Salford. Established in 1977, Jofson Limited stands as one of the largest independent suppliers of forklift trucks and materials handling equipment across Birmingham and Manchester. Project Background

In 2014, Jofson’s Manchester unit was in need of repair and refurbishment. The building’s exterior had faded over time, and the colour scheme no longer aligned with the company’s contemporary image. Cladding Coatings were engaged to rejuvenate the facility, ensuring it reflected the high standards Jofson is known for.

Our teams re-painted 450m² of external metal wall cladding, re-coated three roller shutter doors that had faded badly, and covered 300m² of internal concrete floor with a Durafloor Ultra system. Work which transformed the exterior and interior of the building ready for Joson to operate from with confidence.

The project culminated in transforming a bright yellow building into a sleek, modern property that the company could proudly showcase. The results were stunning, and the transformation was so radical it was noticeable by all who passed, but this time for all the right reasons.

This was the first project that we provided a digital mock up for, this was so the customer could see the colour scheme in advance of work being carried out. This project required a significant change of colour so it was important the customer was confident about the colour choice in advance of starting work on site. We have since done lots of free digital mock ups for a wide range of projects across the UK.

Revisiting a Decade Later

Fast forward to today, and we decided to re-visit the Jofson site to see how our work had held up over the past decade. To our delight and amazement, the building looked just as good as the day we left it. The coating system had stood the test of time, maintaining its appearance and functionality without any significant issues.

Over this amount of time, there are risks of failing paintwork, fading colours, and damages. It also can be affected by the maintenance works carried out by the client such as regular cleaning. We were confident that our system would hold up to the conditions here and that our work was completed to the highest standard so it was great to see how good the building looked today.
