That is why they enlisted the help of our expert team of cladding refurbishment experts to refurbish two units at sites in Elland.

On-site surveys to assess the units

The Cladding Coatings team conducted free on-site surveys at the two sites for A-SAFE in Elland. Each unit required different refurbishment services.

Once the on-site survey was completed at site one, the Cladding coatings team established a plan to complete industrial wall cladding coating on one elevation of the building.

When the on-site survey had been completed at site two, the Cladding Coatings team agreed on a plan with the customer to refurbish all external items on the four elevations in addition to some internal refurbishment work. It was also important to establish the access requirements for this project so that we could plan and put these in place so that the project would run smoothly.

External and internal refurbishment

On the first unit we refurbished for A-SAFE industrial wall cladding coating was required on one elevation. We elected to use the high-performance system, Noxyde® by Rust-Oleum. Noxyde® can be applied in a wide range of colours and shades, an ideal choice for the on-site spraying of metal wall cladding. On the second unit, items such as the fascias, trims, loading doors, windows, and canopy required refurbishing using expert systems. In addition to refinishing the items on the four external elevations, we also cleaned the exterior cladding and brickwork to give the unit a polished appearance.

The second unit also required some internal refurbishment work completing. For Cladding Coatings, this was no issue because we also offer an interior decoration service in addition to external refurbishment and repair work. The internal decoration required on this unit included preparing and painting all walls and ceilings in white, including the offices and staircase areas, and painting all the internal windows blue.
