Howard Tenens, Andover & Swindon
It’s always so valuable to build strong relationships based on trust. We know we’ve achieved that here at Cladding Coatings when a client asks us to come back and carry out further work, impressed with the results we’ve delivered for them to date.
One such happy client is Howard Tenens. The logistics firm, which is one of the largest independently owned and operated logistics companies in the UK, has grown from small beginnings into a huge operation – with a big reputation to uphold. Our work, therefore, needed to impress.
Starting with a successful strategy
Howard Tenens’ Andover and Swindon sites were those in need of external building refurbishment. Logistics is a finely-tuned operation, so we needed to make sure our work in no way reduced the company’s ability to deliver. It was vital our work was carefully planned.
The goal was to improve façade appearance, maintain the buildings to prevent damage, and phase-out the old green paint colour. With two properties to work on, consistency was key. We helped Howard Tenens choose colour schemes, using our digital visualisation service to picture both sites side by side and get the full picture of the finishes. The mock-up helped the client decide the final colour: Merlin Grey.
Installing trusted systems
For large sites, it’s crucial we know that the paint systems we choose to use will be perfect. As approved installers of the tried and tested Rust-Oleum Noxyde® system, we knew this was the right choice. With its ten-year guarantee, outstanding protection properties, and ease of application, its use also gave our client great peace of mind.
As well as consistency across huge surface areas, finer details needed to be considered. For loading doors, we used 7500 AlkythaneⓇ: a paint system from Rust-Oleum. It has an extremely high-performing corrosion resistant topcoat, so it’s ideal when applied in heavy usage, highly-corrosive areas.
Returning to tackle challenges
We’re always planning for the unexpected, but asking the gardener to cut back some trees to give us access to an elevation seemed fairly routine. However, he told us the tree in question couldn’t be cut back just yet, as the leaves have adverse effects when in contact with humans. There’s always something new!
Thankfully, the trees were cut back once the leaves fell in autumn, allowing us to return to the site for the final finish when the weather is drier (at no additional cost to our client, of course).
As the images here show, the stunning grey finish and polished façade look has completely transformed the Howards Tenens estates (images here showing the Andover site).
We’re so proud to build strong, trusted and long lasting relationships with clients seeing great results from our dedicated team. Take a look at more examples of our work, or to find out more about how we can help you get in touch today.
