Refurbishment of Porcelanosa, Nottingham has been completed by Cladding Coatings. The third one in their UK wide refurbishment plan. A year on the refurbishment looks just as good as when we left site.

Porcelanosa is a Spanish company with a presence in over 100 countries worldwide employing in the region of 5,000 skilled professionals. They offer high-end surfaces, fixtures & ceramic tiles for bathrooms & kitchens. In the UK, Porcelanosa has over 20 showrooms where customers can browse the product range and discuss ideas with their qualified team of home design professionals.

The Cladding Coating Surveyors found the site to be looking tired, the building had previously been painted and over time this had results in peeling of the existing paint system. We also found, as with the other locations for the company, that the company’s re-brand had meant the redundant holes and been left in the buildings fascias from different sized display boards and signs.

Porcelanosa required a high specification finish that would provide their building with a like new finish and offer them the peace of mind of a 10 year guarantee to the Cladding Coatings work.

The key specification of the project was to rectify the redundant holes from the previous signage. This meant working with the new sign fitters to coincide our work schedule to ensure the new signs covered the holes or that the holes were completely repaired and invisible to the eye.

Most of the project involved working at heights we produced risk Assessments and Method Statements for Porcelanosa’s team to approve before starting the project. The store was open to the public whilst our work took place therefore we needed to work around the shoppers and take precautions for their safety.

Once ready and safe to start the project we prepared and clean all the surfaces, firstly protecting and masking all adjacent surfaces. Once cleaned, we installed a high performance system to ensure a prefinished or brand new store appearance.

Porcelanosa were pleased with the finished result for their Nottingham Store, we continue to work with them refurbishing their stores nationally.
