Project Highlights of 2021

2021 has delivered our team the chance to work on a hugely varied range of commercial cladding refurbishment projects across the UK.

There’s no doubt 2021’s been an unusual year. Each and every one of us has tackled the unexpected challenges in different ways. Yet for us here at Cladding Coatings, we’re incredibly proud that our brilliant clients, like you, have entrusted us with their commercial cladding refurbishment in 2021. The result for us is an incredible year with many highlights for our team to reflect on.

Many building owners and managers recognised that there was no time like the present to get their commercial cladding refurbishment work completed. A huge range of varied projects, each with their own unique challenges and scopes, came to our experienced team, allowing our experts to deliver a professional, presentable, safe and secure façade finish for our clients.

Here’s just a small selection of our stand-out projects as we reflect on 2021:

Former Poundstretcher, Leicester

Our shopfront refurbishment and commercial cladding refurbishment expertise was called upon to renovate this large retail unit in Leicester. Based on a popular retail park, the unit needed complete rebranding and refreshing for a new tenant.

It was a full scheme of work for our team, starting with roof coating. We used Girosil Roofcoat RC for this work: a flexible, single coat application system with exceptional waterproofing and corrosion resistant properties. Next, we turned our attention to the wall cladding. Full shopfront refurbishment work was needed to remove the previous tenant’s branding for a professional and polished finish. Here, we used Rust-Oleum Noxyde®, which is one of our most popular systems thanks to its ease of application and long-lasting cladding protection properties.

The result was a smart, fully refurbished retail unit ready to attract and welcome new tenants.

Ford, Prescott

Car showroom refurbishment has become a hugely valued part of our Cladding Coatings portfolio. So we were delighted to be asked by our client, Ford, to bring our commercial cladding refurbishment expertise to their site in Prescott.

Wall cladding refurbishment was the biggest part of our work at Ford Prescott. We were on site recoating the external façade, not only so the car showroom appeals to customers looking to make a significant purchase but also protects the incredibly high value vehicles.

This is one of our latest projects, which our team, including our newest staff members, have been working on in the cold months and we are very proud of the final result!

Synertec, Greater Manchester

It was a close-to-home project for our team in the Northwest when document control company Synertec asked us to repair and refurbish their external roof and wall cladding, which was showing signs of significant damage.

A complete commercial cladding refurbishment project was needed here. Understanding this, Synertec chose to invest in full drone survey, which gave an unrivalled view of all the work required. It included attending to the metal wall cladding and the roller shutter doors using Rust-Oleum Noxyde®, targeting the rust and corrosion on the metal roof coating using industry-leading system Advantage Graphene from Alltimes Coatings, replacing deteriorated rooflights, and finally clearing blocked guttering systems.

It was a big job, but one with impressive results that our team can be proud of.

MTS Limited, Bardon Hill

This logistics firm in Leicestershire needed our help to attend to their commercial cladding refurbishment in a certainly unique location: atop an extinct volcano! Yet it’s an area we’re familiar with, so we could quickly and efficiently begin work despite the unusual setting.

Our free on-site survey had unveiled issues with the roof coating, and cut edge corrosion treatment was required. The cut edge of the metal cladding sheet was peeling back significantly, so we installed Tor Coatings product Tor Elastaseal™ Fibretex for ultimate moisture protection that still allowed the cladding the breathe. To do this safely at height on the client’s extensive roof, we hired an access tower, positioned at the right location, so our team could securely hook onto the existing mansafe system on the units roofs.
