Cladding Coatings has recently finished an urgent project for Pet Brands in Batley, West Yorkshire.

Established in 1967, Pet Brands is the Europe’s industry leader, designer and manufacturer of accessories and treats for pets and wild birds, with an international customer base and portfolio of household brands. Pet Brands source, innovate, design, manufacture and supply quality products to all levels of the pet industry, from major high street and grocery retailers, mail order and internet accounts, to independents, value retailers and wholesalers.

When Pet Brands contacted us they explained that they needed the project to be surveyed and completed quickly as this was a new property they had purchased and the refurbishment work needed to be completed in time for the opening of the new location and to allow their sign fitting company to erect the new signage.

We arranged a survey quickly, and when we arrived on site we found the office and warehouse to be in a reasonable condition but with some fading due to sunlight. Also the premises was in need of a good clean througout.

Cladding Coatings prepared a quotation for their review which included cladding cleaning, external cladding painting, window frame and door spraying, both internal and external and the loading door painting. We specified Alkathane 7500 with the galvanoilum adhesion primer which is ideal for very smooth powder coated surfaces.

Pet Brands were quick to approve our quotation and we scheduled work to start immediately to meet their deadlines for the location opening.

Our team pressure washed all the cladding and degreased the windows and doors, we paid particular attention to the door handles as we know from experience these areas are prone to rubbing due to the high traffic contact. Once prepared we would able to apply the galvanoilum adhesion primer followed by the Alkathane 7500 paint system we had specified for the project, which was installed by our experienced team as per the manufacturers guidelines.

We completed the project within the timescales allowing the sign to be erected in time for the opening. The colour scheme worked well and complements the new sign and brand colours chosen by Pet Brands.

Our visibility on site has led to a further project for a neighbouring property who we are currently in discussions with about refurbishing their building.
