We are proud to have an exemplary site safety and health & safety records which we acknowledge as being partly due to the Company and our staff’s commitment to the accreditations we hold as a business and as individuals.
We have over the years and will continue to work with Health & Safety Professionals to ensure we are well-informed of new technologies and legislation which may affect our work as regards to health & safety. We have carefully chosen the following key accreditations and national industry bodies as being relevant and important to our business. Each year we work with the Assessors and Auditors to ensure we comply with their requirements and complete training as they direct to ensure adequate site safety.
CSCS
CSCS is the leading skills certification scheme within the UK construction industry. CSCS cards provide proof that individuals working on construction sites have the required training and qualifications for the type of work they carry out. The Scheme keeps a database of people working in construction who have achieved, or are committed to achieving a recognised construction related qualification. Most principal contractors and major house builders require construction workers on their sites to hold a valid CSCS card. CSCS is a not-for-profit limited company. Its directors are from employer organisations and unions representing the breadth of the industry. The Scheme’s application processing and contact centre is delivered under contract by CITB.
IPAF
The International Powered Access Federation (IPAF) promotes the safe and effective use of powered access equipment worldwide in the widest sense — through providing technical advice and information, through influencing and interpreting legislation and standards, through its safety initiatives and training programmes. It is a not-for-profit organisation owned by its members who include manufacturers, rental companies, contractors and users.
ContractorPlus
ContractorPlus is a robust contractor health and safety pre-qualification system. The system is web based, simple to use and
cost effective. Contractor Plus’ team of Health and Safety Consultants will deal directly with the contractor to check their health and safety documentation including risk assessments, policies, method statements, insurance levels, etc.
PASMA
The Prefabricated Access Suppliers’ and Manufacturers’ Association (PASMA), is the recognised focus and authority for mobile access towers. PASMA advances safety, standards and best practice across a wide range of sectors. Whatever the need, the association has tower information, facts and expertise to impart at a level to suit everyone – from first time users to major contractors. Independent and self-financing, PASMA shapes and supports the future of the industry through the knowledgeable and enthusiastic involvement of its members. suppliers, specifiers and users.
CHAS
CHAS Assessing suppliers health and safety competence is usually a lengthy and time consuming process. Suppliers can sometimes meet one buyer’s Health and Safety standards but not another. Being CHAS approved reduces duplication as suppliers compliance is accepted by all CHAS buyers. CHAS assesses applicants on Health and safety policy statement; Organisation for health and safety; and specific health and safety arrangements to a standard acceptable to our buyers and to others.
