Deane’s Removals, Conwy

Storage facilities hold lots of items within their walls and need to withstand the weather and offer a safe and secure, well maintained accommodation for these. This storage facility was refurbished both to offer protection to the goods within but also to look appealing to customers.

The family-run firm based in North Wales have their own purpose-built container store for household goods. With items of significant value in storage, such grand pianos, safes, glass and china, Deane’s Removals were aware of the trust clients placed in them to store their items safely. Worn metal units are prone to cut-edge corrosion, which causes external deterioration that allows water to enter the property’s interior. To prevent this, and secure their clients’ contents and company reputation, Deane’s Removals knew refurbishment was vital.

Prominent location

Adjacent to scenic Conway, and overlooking the castle and tourist town, our client did not want their facility to be the eye-sore of the surroundings. The unit sits in a very prominent location, so with a tired and worn exterior Deane’s Removals were aware they were missing potential opportunities.

With a new Aldi store now being built next door, they knew their area would be welcoming significantly increased footfall. To make the most of this opportunity to generate sales, Deane’s Removals needed their unit to look professional, presentable and appealing. They knew that our team here at Cladding Coatings had extensive experience refurbishing and renovating storage facilities across the UK, so they called us to request a site visit. Our team visited the unit to assess its condition, and provide a no-obligation, free-of-charge survey and quotation for the work, which comprised recoating the full exterior of the unit.

External recoating

Trusting in our experience and expertise, the client was more than happy to go ahead with our proposed scheme of work. Our team arrived on site in April, and spent two weeks at the unit repainting the full external facade. Assistant Contracts Manager Jake and Mick both set to work initially preparing the unit for recoating. This required a full clean to ensure debris was removed and the surface was primed and prepared for a thorough, high-standard paint application.

After careful consideration and full assessment, we chose to install our trusted 10 Year Noxyde system to the left, right and rear elevations. This paint system is tried and tested by our team, and is accompanied by our ten-year guarantee for longevity and client peace of mind.

The paint was applied in the client’s brand colours: a polished deep brown to match the Deane’s Removals logo. Our expert application skills also ensure minimal disruption to day-to-day operations, with paint installed carefully to avoid damage to the company’s custom-designed fleet of removal vehicles.

The finished unit is on-brand, sleek and professional to instill trust in Deane’s Removals storage facilities and attract new clients.
