With family values at the heart of the Cladding Coatings ethos, we were proud to be asked by family-run business Lancashire Eccles Cakes to conduct an external recoating of their site in Ardwick.

Specialising in the manufacture of high-quality, handmade Eccles cakes, Lancashire Eccles Cakes are made using a traditional family recipe. As a worldwide household name, exporting to Europe and America as well as across the UK, the company understood that a professional building appearance and optimal functionality were essential to maintain their strong reputation and high-level operations. Therefore, Lancashire Eccles Cakes approached Cladding Coatings when refurbishment was needed, instructing us to recoat their building’s exterior.

Our dedicated on-site spraying team began work on the facilities, applying our specialist systems to renovate the existing wall cladding. Once thorough cleaning and preparation work was carried out, the Cladding Coatings team professionally sprayed the exterior to give the unit a full external recoating. Using our unique colour-matching service, our on-site spraying team were able to refresh and rejuvenate the existing building colour scheme.

Dating back at least three centuries, Eccles cakes have a proud family history. Owned by the Edmonds family, the recipe has been passed down through generations and requires each cake to be made by hand. This labour-intensive process, therefore, could not be impacted by the building works. However, with years of experience behind us at Cladding Coatings, we could be certain of a smooth and efficient refurbishment process that would enable the Lancashire Eccles Cakes’ factory to continue with business as usual. With the full project taking only one week to complete, our team were on site for a very short time. This ensured only absolute minimal disruption, allowing Eccles Cakes to continue production while the essential building maintenance works were carried out.
