This project was completed in September 2019. However, it feels of particular importance in the current climate. Televes distribute electronic equipment to the TV and satellite master antenna industry. The company’s goal is to provide homes, buildings and cities with telecoms infrastructure, which at a time of virtual connection has never felt more valuable.

With stock so highly valued, both in need and cost, protecting the unit’s contents was crucial, and achieved through the right external building repair and refurbishment. High-performance systems for industrial locations

Televes’ unit is located on an industrial estate in Cwmbran, Torfaen, placing it close to Newport and the Bristol Channel. This position is excellent for distribution, but presents problems for the façade. Industrial areas and coastal areas are both high-salinity locations, meaning they’re prone to much salt damage. This has a weathering effect on your façade if not properly maintained.

Our experience tackling a building heavily exposed to salt in the atmosphere meant we knew which tried and tested paint system to apply. We prepared and painted the loading doors and windows with 7500 AlkythaneⓇ from Rust-OleumⓇ. The doors are crucial to Televes’ successful supply and operations, so this incredibly effective system with a high-performing corrosion resistant topcoat was the perfect choice. It’s quick application and high-durability suits project manager budgets and timescales too.
