Roofing and Cladding Check for Aircraft Hanger

Roofing and Cladding Check for Aircraft Hanger

We have been carrying out a site survey of an old aircraft hanger. Cladding Coatings were called in to inspect the current condition of the roof and walls following the landlord recognising substantial de-lamination on one side of the roof.

When inspecting roofs we always pay particular attention to the cut edges which run along side the gutters, at the overlapping sheet joints and importantly, not to forget above the roof lights.

Some plastisol coatings de-laminate faster than others, for example darker colours which absorb more sunlight. We advise using a pale or light grey colour for over coating on roofs which will reflect the sunlight heat away.

The wall cladding on this site is in average condition and it could certainly benefit from a new lease of life.

Following our site survey we will include a report within our quote detailing recommendations and suitable systems.
