Roof coating: how we’ve secured and transformed property roofs

Restore your roof to its former glory and protect your property with leading Giromax systems and an expert metal roof cladding coating application.

Your roof is one of the most problematic areas of your property. It bears the brunt of weather damage and debris build up, is prone to cut edge corrosion problems, and needs to stay secure and intact to keep your building, your staff and your stock safe. Yet in a difficult to see area, it can be hard for an untrained eye to know where, and what, the damage is and what to do about it.

At Cladding Coatings, we have multiple years’ experience in metal roof coating and using industry leading high performance roof cladding paint systems. Here’s how we renovate cracked and corroded metal roof cladding to make it safe, secure and smart.

The roof coating systems we use and the results they achieve

To deliver the optimal finish for your metal roof coating project, we look to our portfolio of only the best roof coating systems on the cladding coatings market. For a recent commercial roof cladding project, we chose to install Giromax. Giromax develops products specifically to treat cut edge corrosion using UV and corrosion resistant technology to maintain and protect commercial properties.

There are two Giromax systems we use. Girocote®️ by Giromax, which is made using an anti-corrosive, high-opacity primer, is ideal for metal wall cladding coating. For roof coating, we turn to the industry leading Giromax Girosil Roofcoat RC.

Giromax Girosil Roofcoat RC boasts complete corrosion resistance and total weatherproofing, whether that’s the result of a dirty roof due to ageing or a weathered roof thanks to challenging climate conditions. It has enhanced protection properties to extend the life span of your metal roof cladding by up to an additional 20 years. These include exceptional durability, moisture tolerance and water resistance properties, with a solvent free coating designed to keep cut edge corrosion at bay. What’s more, this Giromax system is installed using a single coat application for flexible and efficient use that keep lead times and site disruption to a minimum.

Our roof coating portfolio and how we’ve delivered for our clients

Cladding Coatings’ clients have been benefitting from our roof coating expertise and application of leading industry commercial roof cladding systems for many years. When you enquire with our team, we’re proud to be able to show you a huge range of different roof coating projects that we’ve delivered to success, backed with client testimonials that we’re delighted we can share.

The team has recently completed a large roof coating project at the former Poundstretcher site in Leicester. Giromax Girosil was an excellent coating choice for this project as it provides total roof sheet protection, protecting against common problems such as cut edge corrosion. Once completed the roof was clean, smart and secure and the building was ready for the new tenants.

Another recent stand-out roof coating project our team carried out was for timber merchant clients Hales Sawmills in Shropshire. Their roof was showing signs of ageing thanks to cut edge corrosion and flaking paint. Hales Sawmills knew an expertly conducted roof coating project was essential to keep their valuable stock secure. We installed safe roof access systems, weather proofing anti-corrosion paints, and transformed the roof both safely and aesthetically. Find out more about the work we did and take a look at some before and after photos of the roof coating work here.

Discovering your roof coating problems and how to solve them

Every single project we carry out begins with a free of charge on site survey. This means our experienced team of roof coating and cladding coating experts can access your site to provide a detailed, accurate quote. However, increasing numbers of our clients are choosing to invest a small fee in one of our chargeable drone surveys.

Drone surveys, operated on fully approved licence by our MD Mike Hallwood, are ideal for roof coating projects. They allow us to view and record footage of your roof that might otherwise not be visible, so we can pinpoint every single detail. This way, we target only the areas of your roof needing attention while making sure nothing is missed.

Whether you’re looking for more information about Giromax products, thinking of booking a drone survey, or simply want a little roof coating advice from the experts, get in touch with our experienced team here at Cladding Coatings today.
