Recently, we have completed a roof and gutter refurbishment project for Stepnell Ltd, based in Rugby, Warwickshire. The former Zirkon Ltd, Electrical components site became vacant and landlord Stepnell was aware that it required some work to the roof areas due to deterioration and age.

On this project two different systems were used for the gutter areas, the new Tor Elastaseal™ HD Gutter System and the HD Sharman Gutterline™ system.

Already an approved partner of TOR Coatings, Cladding Coatings were able to use this new HD system around the perimeter gutters, where the guttering was cleaned, sealed and completely refurbished.

Tor Coatings. Elastaseal™ HD gutter system is a liquid coating that provides a long term waterproofing solution. Depending on the system specified it can last up to 20 years before a full first maintenance.

The system also provides reinforcement to joints and the heavy duty coating has excellent weathering properties and UV stability.

New approval for Cladding Coatings for the installation of the HD Sharman system meant this was the first project carried out by the team using the rubber liner process. The valley gutter was completed using the HD Sharman Gutterline™.

The Gutterline™ system is a rubber liner that is hard wearing, pliable enough to mold well to any gutter and will tolerate temperature changes without splitting or cracking. The ‘gutter within a gutter’ system comes with a 25 year guarantee.

The roof refurbishment required some cut edge corrosion treatment and roof cleaning and coating.

Stepnell were delighted with the work carried out and the roof and gutters were left as good as new, leaks were fixed and the gutter system was able to function efficiently. The new tenant has now moved into the newly refurbished premises.
