We travelled to Liverpool for one of our latest projects, repairing and refurbishing the external building belonging to Lomond Plant Hire.

Lomond Plant Hire knew their property had problems. Areas of the cladding were showing signs of great wear, and the building needed a refresh for a clean finish that was on brand. Our team, led by Jon, headed to Liverpool to complete the work.

Replacing cladding when necessary

Sometimes, a building requires cladding replacement. Our aim is always to avoid this, as it is typically more expensive than cladding refurbishment. However, on occasion, our initial site survey at a client’s property will reveal cladding that’s condition means replacement is necessary.

To make our processes as smooth, efficient and hassle-free as possible, we can replace cladding where required as part of our project work. At Lomond Plant Hire, new cladding was fitted to the rear elevation. We were able to target the replacement to this one section of the building, keeping our client’s costs down and disruption levels low.

Varied paint systems to target key areas

Different areas of a façade require different treatment, so our team tailored their paint systems and application methods to meet the client’s needs.

On-site spraying was required for the front façade to repaint a wide area of the building’s cladding with an even and smooth finish. For masonry coating, brush and rolled paint application methods were used and the colour chosen was an anthracite grey to follow the cladding recoating paint colour on the front façade. Finally, the bollards and roller shutter doors were painted in a bright yellow for a splash of colour that also provided a bright and noticeable finish to aid health and safety.

Minimal disruption for professional results
