The industrial units in question required a range of cladding maintenance and building refurbishment services to smarten up their building exteriors and to give a cohesive and uniform appearance.

Precise project management for minimal disruption

Howard Tenens Logistics are one of the largest independently owned and operated logistics companies in the UK. Their site at Swindon offers warehousing and transport services across a wide range of industries.

With this in mind, our team knew that their work needed to be completed efficiently, with minimal disruption to the client and their daily operations. We conducted a free on-site survey to see exactly what work needed to be completed and to establish a work schedule.

Having conducted an on-site survey, we provided our client with a fast quotation and a detailed plan of the proposed cladding maintenance work. Once the plans were agreed with our client, the Cladding Coatings team could start work.

Trusted coating systems for a high-quality finish

Two Howard Tenens units required our attention on the Europa Industrial Park site, both requiring a range of cladding maintenance services.

The first unit required cladding painting to transform the building from a tired green exterior to a sleek, professional-looking grey unit. Gutters, fascias, flashings and windows all needed recoating in addition to personnel and loading doors.

The second unit required cladding maintenance such as cladding painting and gutter, drip sills, downspout cleaning, and coating. In addition, this unit also had window and door shutters and a loading door which required our attention and expertise.

For areas of the external cladding, we elected to use the trusted Noxyde® system from Rust-Oleum. This water-based coating system is ideal for spray application, and it offers excellent corrosion protection for metal cladding.

On this project, we also used the high-performance 7500 Alkythane® system, another trusted paint system we use from Rust-Oleum. Again this system provides exceptional anti-corrosion properties and is very effective when used in highly corrosive areas such as those of high salinity.
